Actress Seo Woo on Yoo Seung Ho

Actress Seo Woo recently sat down for an interview with MBC’s “Section TV Entertainment News” and discussed her new drama, her co-star Yoo Seung Ho, and her dancing cameo in Psy’s “Right Now” music video.

The reporter started off the interview by asking her what it was like to work with the “nation’s little brother”, Yoo Seung Ho, for their new drama, “Flames of Ambition“. Apparently, Seo Woo generated a lot of jealousy from female fans due to her opportunity to become Yoo Seung Ho’s lover. Seo Woo said tactfully,

“I feel like I become a much kinder person when I’m with Seung Ho.”

Go Ah Sung and Goo Hye Sun accepted to Sungkyunkwan University

Triple-threat Goo Hye Sun (actress/singer/director) and actress Go Ah Sung were both granted early acceptances to Sungkyunkwan University.

Sungkyunkwan University is not just a set for the popular KBS drama, ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal‘. Also known as SKKU or simply ‘Seongdae’, Sunkyunkwan University is a private university in Suwon and is considered to be one of the foremost universities in the country.

Go Ah Sung and Goo Hye Sun have accepted the admissions and will begin classes in March. While Goo Hye Sun will be attending the school for film-making, Go Ah Sung will enroll in the department of social sciences.

The two will be joining many other celebrities already attending the university, including Song Joong Ki, Moon Geun Young, and Ji Hyun Woo.

Go Ah Sung, who recently finished filming ‘God of Study‘ is being praised by netizens for finding time to study despite her busy schedule. Netizens commented, “Wow, she really is the God of Study”.

Meanwhile, Goo Hye Sun is currently busy filming her upcoming drama, “The Musical“.

Yoo Seung Ho and Kim Ha Neul to lead for new movie, “Blind”

It’s been recently revealed that Kim Ha Neul and Yoo Seung Ho have been selected to play the starring roles for the upcoming thriller,”Blind“.

“Blind” revolves around a horrendous crime scene for which the only witness is visually impaired. Kim Ha Neul will be playing the role of a blind student studying to become a cop. Although she is unable to see, the rest of her senses are exceptional, which allows her to be the only character who can crack open the secrets of the crime.

Yoo Seung Ho, who has taken the leading male role, will be Kim Ha Neul’s ‘eyes’.

When asked why she chose to take “Blind” for her next acting project, Kim Ha Neul stated, “The scenario made me want to test my limits as an actress. I will transfer everything inside of me into my acting in order to live up to the anticipation of both the producers and my fans.”

Yoo Seung Ho also stated, “I fell in love with the movie for its entertainment value. I’m glad to be able to work with senior Kim Ha Neul.

Representatives from the film industry are already highly anticipative of the the movie, and some have claimed it to be a ‘jackpot’. The movie won the grand award at the “2009 Hit By Pitch” and was selected as the ‘most popular project’ due to its superior storyline. The annual “Hit By Pitch” festival screens small ’samples’ from on-going projects of that year.

“Blind” will be released in the summer of 2011.

“BLACK is fuel of LOVE’ is a charitable campaign aimed at providing clothing for the people in need. Yoo Seung Ho, Han Chae Young, Tony An, Bae Da Hae, Im Joo Hwan, Jung Ah Reum, and many others from various niches in the entertainment industry have signed up to model for the cause.

The model fee as well as profits from the sale will be sent to Yontan Bank. Donation boxes will also be placed in Guess stores nationwide so that everyone can participate and share the love in this winter.

Promotional Poster for Yoo Seung Ho’s New Drama “Flames of Ambition”

It’s been recently reported that Yoo Seung Ho has been cast in an upcoming Korean drama in which he get married to Seo Woo, who is 8 years older than him. The drama which has been retitled as ‘Flames of Ambition’ (formerly titled ‘You Only Love a Girl Once in Your Life’), has been released the promotional poster.

The poster features its leads Jo Min Ki, Shim Eun Gyung, Yoo Seung Ho, and Seo Woo. Jo’s character named Kim Young Min is the first generation son from a chaebol family and gets married to Shin’s character. They both have a son, Kim Min Jae played by Yoo who falls to an ambitious top actress, Baek Soo Bin (Seo Woo).

Since it’s set in a conglomerate family, the story centers around money, power, passion, destruction and status dating from the legacy of the first generation son. It’s illustrated by the leads on the poster which shows a high class-dark atmosphere.

Flames of Ambition’ premieres on October 2nd, taking over ‘Kim Soo Ro’.

Yoo Seung-ho to return to small screen in October

Korean actor Yoo Seung-ho will be returning to the small screen in October as the male lead in an upcoming drama.

An industry source told Sports Today over the phone, “It has been confirmed that Yoo Seung-ho has been cast for the new MBC weekend drama tentatively titled ‘One and Only Love‘”.

The official added that the show’s producer will make an official announcement in early September.

One and Only Love“, to also star Korean actress Sin Eun-kyeong, is a 50-part series about the legacy of a son of a conglomerate family. It is written by famed scenarist Jeong Ha-yeon, whose works include “The Last Empress”, “Bitter Sweet Life” and “Sindon”.

Yoo made his debut at the early age of 10, starring in the MBC TV series “Daddy Fish” (2000) and his film debut in “The Way Home” (2002). He has appeared in numerous dramas including “Love Letter” (MBC, 2003), “Queen Seon-deok” (MBC, 2009) and “Master of Study” (KBS2, 2010) and movie “Don’t Tell Papa” (2004) and “Unforgettable” (2008).

He recently released a digital single with Korean songstress IU titled “I Believe in Love”, which has fared well on various music charts since its release in early August.
